LIVING VISION

Tara.
Tara Woodend, Founder and Principal Designer, comes from a family of classically trained and practicing artists. Her grandfather, James Woodend, was an incredibly talented and successful fine artist who inspired her from a young age. She grew up watching her Pop Pop paint, which ignited a passion for the arts. As a long time ballet dancer and supporter, hobbyist painter, and immersed in fashion, art is deeply woven into the fabric of Tara’s life.
While her professional medium may not be a stretched canvas like James’, her architectural education and natural talent lend themselves to creating space as a functional and approachable art form. Tara studied at the University of Tennessee's School of Architecture and Design, with a focus on Interior Architecture. Additionally, Tara spent part of her career in construction project management and real estate development, learning the technical building skills and CRE investment strategies to further set herself apart and enhance the value she brings to each project.
Outside of design, Tara volunteers with the San Francisco Ballet and is on the PURR team, working with shelter cats at SF Animal Care and Control to find loving homes. She enjoys skiing, tennis, and spending time with her cat, Kitten.
